Awarded the Special Jury Prize in Cannes, The Shout is the second (after Deep End) feature produced in Great Britain by Jerzy Skolimowski. This metaphysical horror film, inspired by Robert Graves' short story, is a debate on the underlying definitions of what is considered to be normal and abnormal; it questions the boundaries between mental conditions and mystic abilities. With the atmosphere built in the English landscapes of North Devon, this picture recounts a horrifying tale where fiction and reality are no longer exemplified. The voice of the scream recorded for this film, belongs to no one else, but Jerzy Skolimowski himself.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with producer Jeremy Thomas
